In Support of RSNA Research
and Education Foundation
Hauppauge, NY, August 5, 2004. ZyDoc.com Corporation, a technology leader in automated medical documentation
solutions, announced its support for the RSNA Research and Education Foundation
as a Bronze Circle Member. The purpose
of ZyDoc's unrestricted grant is to help the Foundation by funding its
researchers. The Board of Trustees
initiated the RSNA Exhibitor's Circle to identify the common interests and
dedicated commitments that build bridges between clinical investigations and
commercial innovations.
According to James M.
Maisel, M.D., Chairman of ZyDoc, “ZyDoc is honored to join the Foundation and
help provide the opportunity to shape the future of radiology - to express
ZyDoc’s support of research and our commitment to medical advancement. As a technology leader in medical
informatics, speech recognition, transcription, and Internet-based Electronic
Medical Documentation Solutions, ZyDoc participates and supports development of
new products, new technologies, new tools, and new treatments. ZyDoc is providing the industry with a
paradigm for bridging the gap between dictation solutions and the EMR."
ZyDoc's participation in
and support of the Foundation will be acknowledged in many RSNA publications,
including RSNA News, Buyer's Guide, RSNA Membership Directory, the RSNA
Research and Education Foundation Annual report, and the Daily
Bulletin. ZyDoc will also be
acknowledged during the RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in the
following ways: it will be recognized at an exclusive reception for Exhibitor's
Circle members and RSNA leaders, the Foundation's Research Pavilion, and the
2004 RSNA Annual Conference with special ribbon and signage at the ZyDoc
exhibit. This annual industry event is
attended by thousands of radiologists.
It offers a wide range of topics and viewpoints to enable healthcare
professionals to remain current with industry trends; and to evaluate the
latest healthcare IT and radiological advances. Conference Information can be obtained at http://www.rsna.org.
Dr. Maisel further elaborates, "Our Medical
Transcription Business Recognition Award; growing transcription business; and
success in licensing our transcription infrastructure products to transcription
companies, transcriptionists, and EMR vendors are all confirmation that our
technical solutions are on track. We
hope that our participation in RSNA's research and education efforts will
increase ZyDoc's visibility in the transcription marketplace as a leader in
speech recognition and documentation solutions. ZyDoc can provide many smaller transcription companies with Transcription
ASP solutions, which will allow them both to move to digital files and to
leverage the values of speech recognition and the Internet with a wider pool of
transcriptionists and faster delivery.
Additionally, ZyDoc's Transcription ASP solutions will fulfill HIPAA and
security requirements without upfront investments.
"While ZyDoc offers
state-of-the-art technology (such as speech recognition as the first step in
the transcription process) foremost in the growth of our transcription service
business has been the extension of our
service's value chain and the operational aspects of the company. Our ability to offer same-day start-up,
overnight turnaround, and high accuracy - even in unusual specialties - has
been compelling. Clients immediately
experience relief from backlogs and improved operations, including faster
reporting, less chart churning, and fewer disruptive phone calls from referring
physicians. ZyDoc clients with multiple
offices especially benefit from TrackDoc™, our
web-based HIPAA-compliant document management
system. TrackDoc™
allows users to access records from anywhere via Internet browser. It facilitates low risk, transparent, and
rapid transition to EMR, and does not require users
to change their work habits. Transcription
clients have no increase in their costs, but can now obtain "bedside
billing" (including immediate routing of jobs for electronic signature,
coding, and billing with attachments), which should result in fewer days for
which bills remain outstanding and decreased billing-cycle time," states
Dr. Maisel.
ZyDoc offers a range of
solutions to match business needs with dictation solutions. For PC-literate physicians, ZyDoc offers its
award-winning SpeechDoc reporting system, which facilitates speech recognition,
handwriting recognition, and input from keyboard, mouse, and pen stylus into
speech-optimized knowledge-base templates.
It allows radiologists to generate
professional documentation faster and more economically than other methods
allow. SpeechDoc
is tightly integrated with the award-winning, user-friendly, ZipDoc™ e-Transcription service, which is designed
for PC novices and doctors who prefer not to change their work habits. Regardless of documentation methods,
completed records and dictations are accessible via Internet browser through
ZyDoc’s TrackDoc™ web-based Chart-Management
System, which is located in secure world-class facilities that withstood the
Northeast blackout.
